Board Chair Boot Camp can give you a head start on successfully fulfilling this crucial role.\n\n \n\nParticipants will leave this session with a solid grasp of skills and behaviors needed to become highly effective in their role as board chairs. The curriculum focuses on these key areas: \n\n\n The fundamentals of board service\, including roles\, relationships and skills\;\n Sound governance practices\, board structure\, board policy and tasks\;\n Succession planning and the board chair/executive director relationship. \n\n\nThis is a must-attend opportunity for current and prospective board chairs!\n\n\n\nA program of the Board Development Series.\n\nPresenter:\n\n\n\nLuann Feehan joined Nonprofit Connect in 2012 as the Executive Director. Luann is a sought-after expert on nonprofit trends and best-practices\, and a leading voice in Kansas City's nonprofit community. She has been invited to similar markets across the country to share her knowledge on nonprofit and association programs. Luann is a Certified BoardSource Governance Trainer and DiSC Behavioral Assessment Trainer. She brings over twenty years of experience in leading successful nonprofit teams.\n\nCancellation/Program Policies:\n\nNo refunds will be processed within 3 business days of the program date.
