DESCRIPTION:Learn how to competently manage conflict in your workplace. \n\n\n\nLet's face it: conflict is a normal part of life. Proactively managing conflict helps you preserve relationships\, improve your workplace\, and increase your leadership confidence. Whether you'd rather bury your head in the sand and avoid conflict at all costs or if you've got your boxing gloves ready at all time\, this workshop will help you see conflict management from a new lens. \n\n\n\nJoin Mary Beth Rohlf\, SPHR and Chief People Officer at the Jewish Community Center of Greater KC\, to better understand the costs\, benefits\, and strategies to ensure your conflict results in productive progress\, rather than derailing your day-to-day operations. \n\n\n\nParticipants in this session will learn:\n\n	Different approaches to conflict - and the benefit and deficit of each approach\n	Active listening and reflective listening techniques\n	5 steps to approaching conflict like a mediator\n\n\nThis session is ideal for human resource managers\, volunteer managers\, or leaders at any level of an organization.  \n\n\n\nThis is a program of The Effective Nonprofit Series. \n\nSpeaker:\n\nMary Beth Rohlf is the Chief People O cer for The Jewish Community Center of Kansas City. \n\nPrior to that\, she worked at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art for 10 years\, 5 years in Human Resources and 5 years as the Manager of Volunteer Services. \n\n\n\nShe also worked with volunteers while at Big Brothers Big Sisters\, Saint Luke's Hospital\, Kansas City Cares and Starlight Theatre. Mary Beth has her Master's degree in Counseling from UMKC and is a Certified Mediator for the State of Kansas.
