DESCRIPTION:Celebrate this holiday season with The Habitat Holiday Orchestra\, under the direction of Ryan Heinlein\, with music arranged by Stan Kenton. This event will also be featuring some of the finest musicians in Kansas City. This donation only event will include an all brass big band of 4 French horns\, 4 trombones\, 4 trumpets\, piano\, bass\, drums\, and percussion performing what some have called on of the greatest collections of holiday jazz arrangements ever written. A polyphonic masterpiece that is at once progressive and traditional. Attendees will be asked to make a free will offering to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City. All proceeds from this holiday jazz series support Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City as they build opportunities and hope for the urban core of Kansas City by empowering citizens and neighborhoods through affordable home ownership and financial education.
