SUMMARY:Let's Connect: Operations + Finance with Michelle Dawson
DESCRIPTION:Operations and finance professionals ensure that the day-to-day work gets done so that your organization can achieve its mission. COVID-19 resulted in disruption like never before\, and organizations were forced to quickly adapt processes to maintain services and safety. \n\n\n\nDuring this interactive session\, Michelle Dawson\, Business Analyst and Project Manager from Unbound\, will share her top three operations lessons learned during 2020. Join Michelle to hear how Unbound accelerated change\, assessed their risk\, and operated with empathy by analyzing the impact of new operational processes on their clients\, supporters\, and staff. All finance\, administration\, and operations professionals are welcome to join this interactive conversation.\n\n\n\nIn the second part of the session\, we'll move into breakout rooms to encourage small group discussion and networking. You will have the opportunity to share your perspective\, ask questions\, and gain insight from your nonprofit peers.\n\n\n\nThis is a program of the Let's Connect Virtual Discussion Series. \n\nSpeakers:\n\n\n\nMichelle Dawson has been with Unbound since 2011 and has 18 years of project management experience. After supporting Unbound as a donor for many years\, she accepted a position in their Sponsorship Operations department\, allowing her to use her professional experience to support a mission she is passionate about. Her work includes technology project management\, cross-departmental communication and process improvements. Most recently\, Michelle has been educating herself and her team on nonprofit risk management\, with the ultimate goal of applying Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) practices to Unbound's mission-driven culture and operations.\n\n\n\nMichelle lives in Lee's Summit\, Missouri\, with her husband\, two children\, extended family (her husband's parents)\, and one very spoiled cat. She and her husband are settled down after 18 years of corporate relocations around the U.S.\, and have embraced all things Kansas City\, especially its love of BBQ and sports.\n\n\n\nYou!\n\nYour active participation is highly encouraged. No one has all of the solutions\, but everyone has something worth contributing. Your small group discussion participation will help others share\, grow\, and learn. \n\nLet's Connect: Virtual Discussion Series\n\nWhat's the best way to stay connected?
