DESCRIPTION:Nonprofit Executive Breakfasts are held three times a year with the goal of bringing together the executive leaders of Kansas City's nonprofits for idea sharing and networking. Please note: Attendance at this breakfast is solely for nonprofit executive directors and CEOs.\n\n\n\nPractical strategies for building organizational mental health and resilience\n\n\n\nAs nonprofit leaders\, you know that your biggest asset is your team. When faced with unparalleled stress\, how do you support the mental and emotional wellbeing of your employees?\n\n\n\nJoin Terry Trafton\, President & CEO of CommCARE Behavioral Health\, to hear actionable tips to help manage stress\, build a culture of compassion\, and strengthen your organization's resiliency muscles. While COVID-19 weariness and fatigue is real and taxing\, Terry and your nonprofit peers will help refocus your energy to productive strategies during this interactive session.\n\n\n\nParticipants will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue with other nonprofit executives\, share your own strategies for supporting staff\, and gain new tactics to thrive in the marathon of nonprofit leadership.  \nPresenter:\n\n\nTerry Trafton is President & CEO of CommCARE Behavioral Health\, a network of community Behavioral Healthcare providers in Missouri. CommCARE serves a network of mental health and substance use services organizaiton across Missouri and operates the regional 24/7 mental health access crisis intervention call center at 1-888-279-8188. Terry also serves as President & CEO of the subsidiary\, Alternatives EAP\, which partners with Employers to provide employee wellness services including individual counseling and life solutions.\n\n\n\nWith 30 years of experience in healthcare settings including behavioral health\, community and hospital healthcare\, Terry worked for 19 years at Truman Medical Center in the Behavioral Health division including eight years as an Administrator. Then\, he served at Two Rivers Behavioral Health System of UHS in 2016 as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Terry holds a National Certification and License as a Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri with a Master's degree from Avila University. He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.\n\n\n\nTerry is civically active\, serving as the current President of the Missouri Mental Health Foundation Board of Directors\, a current Board Member and Past Chair of the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation and recently was elected to the Health Forward Foundation's Board of Directors after serving six years on the Health Forward Foundation's Community Advisory Council.\n\n\nCancellation/Program Policies:\nNo refunds will be processed within 3 business days of the program date.
