Over the course of the year, four nationally recognized experts address cutting-edge issues, explore best practices and provide critical insights for increased positive social impact. Inaugural speaker Jacob Harold is president & CEO of GuideStar, the nation?s expert in collecting and disseminating nonprofit information . Their mission is to ?revolutionize philanthropy by providing information that advances transparency, enables users to make better decisions, and encourages charitable giving.? Each year more than 10 million unique visitors seek answers from GuideStar?s 1.3 billion pieces of data.
Prior to his role at GuideStar, Harold led grant making for the Philanthropy Program at the Hewlett Foundation. Between 2006 and 2012, he oversaw $30 million in grants which, together, aimed to build a 21st century infrastructure for smart giving.
