As a public policy expert, Sue Santa joins us to examine the emerging trends, including legal and public policy issues, that are affecting the nonprofit sector today. With a look at policies and practices at all levels of government – local, state, and federal, she’ll suggest how to best position ourselves and our organizations to effectively address these challenges.
Sue Santa is the Senior Vice President for Public Policy and Legal Affairs at the Council on Foundations where she has served since January 2013. She oversees the Council’s government relations and legal team while providing strategic direction for all advocacy efforts, including working with all branches of government to communicate the value and impact of philanthropy and ensuring a positive environment for charitable giving.
An active philanthropic network, the Council on Foundations, founded in 1949, is a nonprofit leadership association of grant making foundations and corporations. It provides the opportunity, leadership and tools needed by philanthropic organizations to expand, enhance and sustain their ability to advance the common good.
