Event Description:

Is your organization considering bringing on a new donor database system or changing from the one you already have?  In any software category there are dozens of options, and with so many features and pricing plans to sort through, how do you choose the right system for your organization?  Choosing the wrong donor management system can be an expensive and frustrating mistake.

Join us to learn the fundamentals of selecting the right software for your organization in this engaging presentation by Jonathan Poisner, Expert Trainer with Idealware.  He’ll highlight the ins and outs of donor management systems including:
  • common features of systems,
  • key considerations for choosing one that’s right for your organization, and
  • how to compare different systems.
You’ll learn how to evaluate what you actually need from a system and ask the all-important question, “Do you really need a new system at all?”  Referring to Idealware’s Consumers Guide to Donor Management Systems, Posner will touch on the implementation process, including configuration considerations, the data migration process, management best practices, and user adoption.

Following the presentation and throughout the afternoon, there will be two software vendors - Bloomerang and Little Green Light, showcasing their products and answering your specific questions.  Bring your team members and take as much time as you need to explore a variety of software options.
