Serve&Lift Center Ribbon Cutting

Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph (CCKCSJ) invites the community to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Serve&Lift Center on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 4:30 PM, located at 8001 Longview Road. This reimagined facility, previously St. Matthew’s Church, will serve as a hub for essential support services, addressing critical needs in the Hickman Mills area, where over 31% of children live in poverty—double Missouri’s average. The center offers a client-choice food pantry, educational workshops, and mobile outreach to support ten surrounding counties. The event includes a brief ceremony with remarks from Bishop Johnston, community leaders, and Catholic Charities representatives. Attendees can tour the facility, learn more about its programs, and enjoy refreshments. Open to all, this celebration underscores Catholic Charities’ mission to “To Serve & To Lift” those in need.
