Want to make a life-saving difference but only have a few hours on weekends to help? If you have a good driving record and have about 3 hours of free time at least 1 Saturday or Sunday afternoon each month, we could use your help.
Community Blood Center is looking for a few dedicated volunteers to pick up blood donations from our St Joe and Topeka centers at approx. 3pm and deliver them to our main office near the Plaza where they can then be prepared for distribution to critically ill patients. Shifts take about 2.5 hours. We provide the vehicle, training, fuel and candy bars -- you bring the time and dedication to saving lives!
To become a Volunteer Driver, you must be 21 years of age, be able to lift 35 lbs, pass a background check /Motor Vehicle Record screening, attend orientation & ride-along and be ready to help save lives.
