Volunteer at the Shepherd’s Center of KC
Shepherd’s Center’s Home Delivered Meals Program mobilizes volunteers to deliver nutritious meals to individuals, age 60+ or disabled, who are home-bound in the Kansas City service area. This is an essential volunteer position especially during the COVID-19 crisis and we need your help!
Who: YOU! Preferable a couple or a team of two. Must be capable of bending and lifting items into vehicle repetitively.
What: Picking up frozen meals from our partner warehouse. Volunteers will be utilizing the Shepherd’s Centers van (or personal pickup truck if preferred). Once items are picked up and loaded volunteers will then sort at distribution location for other volunteers to deliver to homebound clients.
When: Tuesday’s and/or Thursday’s each week beginning at 8:30 am until approximately 10:30 am.
Where: Pick up is location is at our partner site-5350 Speaker Rd. KCK (pick up time is 9:00 am) and the meals will then be transported to be distributed at 5144 Oak St Kansas City MO.
