More than 90% of the Red Cross' workforce is comprised of volunteers - and that starts with our Chapter Board of Directors. Our local board of directors work together to support community initiatives supporting the work of our teams delivering services to those affected by disasters; our military veterans, service members and their families; individuals seeking lifesaving training like CPR/First Aid and home fire safety education. Help us sort donations and break down computers so that we can get more computers out to those who need them.

Retail Assistants serve customers at KCCG's Swope Park headquarters. Duties include welcoming visitors when they arrive at KCCG, cashiering, signing people up for memberships, answering the phone, connecting people with KCCG's different programs and resources, restocking, cleaning, and carrying out other opening and closing protocols for the retail space.

Meals on Wheels volunteer home delivery drivers needed. Please contact terry@kcshepherdscenter.org for more information.

Volunteers check in participants. You may also collect donations, man clipboards and organize registration lines. Events are rain or shine.

Volunteers needed.

We need roughly 16 volunteers per show for roughly 10-12 shows per month. Most volunteers work as ushers at the theater, but we also need ticket takers, theater greeters, and concession workers.

We need a volunteers to help us with this event! Their are a variety of shifts available.

Mentor a Kansas City student! Partners Active in Learning (PALs) offer individual tutoring and mentorship to elementary school students. PALs help students gain confidence and skill in math and reading.

The Shave to Save gala event is Friday, April 26,th 2024. This volunteer team would oversee the planning of the event.

Flourish is looking for a few folks with flexible weekday schedules to help us get donations picked up. Most shifts are only 1-4 hours and offer flexibility. Help transform lives by driving or assisting our drivers in picking up home furnishings and essentials for families right here in Kansas City. NO CDL required for driver or driver's assistant position. Annual DOT physical required, paid for by Flourish.

How would you like to be one of the first smiling faces our guests see when they walk through our doors? We need help greeting and checking in guests along with other administrative front desk duties, including answering phones, emails, and sorting paperwork. This is a great volunteer opportunity for someone who wants to interact directly with our guests in a fun, fast paced environment. Telephone, computer, and multitasking skills required. Choose your shift! Hours are 8am-1pm, Tues, Weds,Thurs, Sat.
