Grants Manager 
Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency, is currently hiring for a full-time Grants Manager. Rose Brooks Center seeks a mission-driven grant professional for the role of Grants Manager. This position is a part of the Development team and is key to contributing to the fundraising goals and capacity of Rose Brooks Center, as well as contributing to a positive, dedicated work environment centered on the agency’s mission. Key responsibilities include researching, writing and developing government and foundation grants and reports which provide critical support for the agency. This position demonstrates creativity, compassion, innovation, and strong collaboration in working with other staff to achieve agency and department goals.
 
Key competencies also include flexibility, planning and organization, and the ability to multi-task. The Grant Manager demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with funders, as well as program, executive, and development staff for writing and updating government, foundation, corporate, and other grant proposals and reports. This position works independently as well as collectively, is committed to quality and is detail-oriented, using determination, time management and follow-through in meeting grant management, tracking and reporting requirements. This position reports to the Development Director – Grants.

  1. Perform all job responsibilities while demonstrating proficiency in all Rose Brooks Center competencies and a commitment to the overall mission.
  2. Perform functions of job according to agency policies and procedures and utilizing the principles of trauma informed care, accessibility, and equity and inclusion. Participate in a minimum of 3 equity and inclusion related activities annually.
  3. Attend scheduled staff, team and supervisor meetings and required trainings.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education/Experience
  • 2-5 years of grant writing experience, including government and/or foundation grants, and/or commensurate combination of education and experience; demonstrated success writing government grants highly preferred.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or commensurate combination of education and experience.
  • One to three years of successful broad-based fund-raising experience.
  • Ability to engage, build, and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal direct supervision; able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to learn quickly and be a creative problem solver.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple and diverse tasks and projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate positive demeanor and professionalism; ability to use discretion and maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams, and other software; experience with Netsuite preferred.
  • Provide a valid driver’s license and car insurance with an ability to meet Rose Brooks Center’s driving requirements for the job position. 
 
WORK HOURS:
This is a full time, exempt position and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday days but may include some evening and weekend hours.
