Part-time Prevention Coodinator

Responsibility Summary: CPC is seeking a compassionate and well-rounded person to join our growing prevention team.  This position oversees childcare activities that correspond with parent education as a part of the ACT Raising Safe Kids parenting program. This position will assist with coordinating ACT Raising Safe Kids, including preparing parent packets, enrolling clients, and collecting data.  This position requires a trauma-informed perspective, professionalism, and respect for everyone.  The ideal candidate will have computer skills to manage email, databases, and reports while maintaining strict confidentiality.  The ideal candidate will also have a passion for social work and children! 
 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Foster a safe and friendly space for clients in the lobby
  • Provide activities for children that correspond with ACT sessions
  • Maintain a calm environment in stressful situations
  • Alert prevention staff when their clients have arrived
  • Answer front desk phone – transfer calls, take messages, answer questions as necessary
  • Engage with children who are in the lobby while caregivers attend ACT Raising Safe Kids parenting education session (if appropriate)- includes playing with young children and facilitating activities
  • Maintain ACT client database; update as needed
  • Assist with preparing for sessions and mailing packets or certificates
  • Assist with monthly reporting metrics and data collection
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Basic Requirements: 
 
  • Background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting required
  • High school diploma or equivalency (some college preferred)
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must be comfortable interacting with children of all ages & their caregivers
