Community LINC's six buildings sit on the west side of 40th and Troost.
Community LINC’s mission is to provide a transformative community that equips and empowers KC families experiencing homelessness to establish stable housing, resilience, and lasting independence leading to a self-sustained living and lifestyle.
For nearly 40 years, we’ve helped families overcome the root causes of homelessness: trauma, job loss, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and lack of affordable housing just to name a few. What began as a small program for six families now serves over 300 households through outreach efforts in Kansas City and across 27 units at our 40th and Troost campus.
Our Elevated Transitional Housing Program provides rent-free apartments and wraparound services, including:
• Mental health care and counseling
• Career coaching and financial literacy
• Trauma-informed academic support for children
• Personalized case management
Our holistic, all-in-one approach empowers families to achieve lasting independence—and meet the growing need in our community.
At Community LINC, our mission includes a strong focus on supporting the next generation. We aim to create a safe, nurturing campus where children can focus on personal and aca-demic development, emotional growth, and positive peer interaction.
