About Us

Mission: To ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action and sustained by community.

Gilda’s Club Kansas City, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community is dedicated to providing, at no cost to members, a comprehensive and professional program of emotional support and education designed to enhance the mind, body, and spirit of people whose lives have been impacted by cancer. At Gilda's Club Kansas City, people with cancer join with others to learn they are not alone by participating in educational workshops, healthy lifestyle programs, and social activities, as well as professionally led support and networking groups. Each individual chooses as many, or as few, activities they would like to attend. Our program of support is for people with all types of cancer and their families and caring friends. Our program is free of charge and is designed as a complement, not an alternative, to conventional medical care.

As an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, Gilda's Club Kansas City benefits from being a part of a large network yet is a separate entity, and all funds raised locally, stay locally. In addition to in-person support through Gilda's Club Kansas City, people impacted by cancer in the Greater Kansas City area can also access support online. The Cancer Support Community provides an Online Community to bring the experience of Gilda's Club to you through the Internet anytime.
