About Us

Heartland Women in Trades is a nonprofit organization led by and for union tradeswomen in the Kansas City region. Our mission is to support, empower, and uplift current and future tradeswomen through mentorship, education, advocacy, and community-building. We work to eliminate barriers for women in the skilled trades, promote equity in the workforce, and celebrate the strength and solidarity of union labor. Whether through leadership development, outreach programs, or direct support, Heartland Women in Trades is committed to building a more inclusive and thriving construction industry.
