Joy Meadows aims to provide stability and healing for foster children by maximizing the potential of single-family foster homes. Through housing, community support, and centralized access to resources, foster parents will find the joy and longevity needed to serve foster children and maintain siblings within one family. We are essentially a neighborhood of homes built for foster parents to house the maximum number of children in a single-family home; provide stability and support services for foster children on-site to meet behavioral, emotional, and educational needs; and sustain qualified foster parents through neighbors, respite care, training, and support services. It is our goal to make a child’s time in foster care about more than surviving – but about finding joy and healing so they are prepared for the next step in their journey, whether that is reunification with parents or adoption. It is our goal for the community to have 10 foster homes, a Community Center and office, and agricultural and horticultural therapeutic activities.
