About Us

Lee’s Summit CARES mobilizes community partners to develop a culture of physical and mental wellness for Lee’s Summit youth and families that inspires positive, healthy choices. Our vision is a healthy and safe community for children, youth and families of the Greater Lee's Summit area.

For more than 35 years, Lee's Summit CARES has grown and developed into a thriving and important community based and grass roots non-profit organization.

Our programming for youth and families includes prevention of suicide and underage substance use, parenting classes and character development.

The coalition is comprised of representatives from healthcare organizations, law enforcement, area businesses, churches, and civic groups along with educators, students and parents. The group meets regularly to develop and implement community strategies to address this problem.
