Kansas City’s Negro Leagues Baseball Museum hits grand slam, selected as recipient of the 2019 Gold Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award by American Business Awards program

Kansas City’s Negro Leagues Baseball Museum hits grand slam, selected as recipient of the 2019 Gold Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award by American Business Awards program  
Kansas City, MO: (May 6, 2019) The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (NLBM) has been selected as the “2019 Non-Profit Organization of the Year” by a national award program, according to Bob Kendrick, NLBM President. The American Business Awards program has recently announced that the Kansas City organization has won their “2019 Gold American Business Award” in the Non-Profit Organization (Small-Ten full-time employees or less.) category.   
The NLBM was selected for the Gold Award based on the achievements of the NLBM staff which include the creation of an enjoyable visitor experience, the development of a variety of NLBM educational programming, the production of outreach events and activities regarding the history of the Negro Leagues, the continued emphasis on Kansas City community involvement, and their outstanding organizational management and leadership. The title of their application was “Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Hits Grand Slam in Preserving Negro Leagues History.”
All 2019 American Business Awards winners were selected by a group of business professionals located throughout the United States. They volunteered their time to review information provided to them through a professionally-managed application process.
The awards will be presented to honorees at the 17th Annual American Business Awards banquet on Tuesday evening, June 11, 2019, at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, 1535 Broadway, in New York City.
