Pee Wee&rsquo\;s Walk &ndash\; Supporting Families After Homicide Loss
\n\nJoin KC Mothers in Charge for the 8th Annual Pee Wee&rsquo\;s Walk\, a community walk that brings Kansas City together to support families grieving the loss of a loved one to homicide.
\n\nNamed in honor of Antonio &ldquo\;Pee Wee&rdquo\; Thompson\, the son of KC Mothers in Charge founder Rosilyn Temple\, the walk serves as both a tribute and a call to action. Each year\, families\, community members\, and organizations come together to remember those lost to violence while raising funds that provide direct support to families navigating the trauma of violent loss.
\n\nProceeds from Pee Wee&rsquo\;s Walk support KC Mothers in Charge&rsquo\;s work providing homicide response\, trauma-informed support groups\, counseling\, and ongoing outreach to families affected by violent loss throughout the Kansas City community.
\n\nHeld during National Crime Victims&rsquo\; Rights Week\, Pee Wee&rsquo\;s Walk offers individuals\, companies\, and organizations an opportunity to stand with families on their path toward healing.
\n\nBusinesses and organizations are encouraged to participate by forming employee teams or supporting the event as sponsors\, demonstrating their commitment to strengthening and supporting the Kansas City community.

\n LOCATION:Pee Wee's Walk kicks off at the Spirit of Freedom Fountain\, at the Corner of Emmanuel Cleaver Blvd and Cleveland Ave\, Kansas City\, MO. The walk follows the paved walking trail along Brush Creek\, to Paseo Avenue and then back to the Spirit of Freedom Fountain.
