About Us

The Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) is committed to providing a variety of prevention and treatment services to the children and their families throughout our community. We work to help these families heal from the traumatic effects of child abuse; including emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. We provide counseling services and resources to families to help aid them in creating strong and healthy home environments.

CAPA also provides educational training for both children and adults, designed to help both increase awareness of abuse, as well as highlight ways in which such abuse can be prevented. Children learn different safety skills and tactics that they can use in a situation of abuse, and parents are taught different positive parenting techniques to implement within the home. Individual therapy, family therapy, crisis assistance, support groups, and a variety of other services are available through CAPA.
