Hello! I am the Senior Vice President of Programming and Special Initiatives at the Urban League of Greater Kansas City. As a native Kansas Citian, I spent the past 13 years in Chicago serving under-resourced communities. Growing up in the Charlie Parker Square projects in the 90s and early 2000s taught me invaluable lessons about resiliency and audacity. I have a Masters Degree in Public Policy and spent most of my career so far as an educator and worked as an assistant principal at a high school on Chicago's south side. Now, I am eager to serve the communities from which my roots derive, Kansas City. I am particularly passionate about education and advocacy and believe that with exposure, access to opportunities, and support, the people and communities that have been marginalized can thrive.
