Patrick M. Rooney, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University
This program coincides with the national release of the 2015 Giving USA: The Annual Report on Philanthropy. As the longest running annual report on the sources and uses of U.S. charitable giving, it provides fundraisers, nonprofit leaders, donors, volunteers and others who work in or with the philanthropic community with the most comprehensive charitable giving data available.
Dr. Rooney offers a first look at the new report and provides critical observations about current trends and where philanthropy is headed in the United States. Rooney is a nationally recognized expert on philanthropy and charitable giving. He speaks frequently across the country on issues related to philanthropy and management of nonprofit organizations.
Following Dr. Rooney's remarks, Tracy McFerrin of the Hall Family Foundation will facilitate a question and answer session.
Each attendee will receive a free fact sheet containing exclusive excerpts from the Giving USA Report for 2015 about sources of contributions, recipients, key findings and topline considerations.
Full participation in this program is applicable for 1.0 points in Category 1.B –Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
