Don’t Guess. Know. How effectively are the programs and services your organization provides operating? Are they having the impact you intend? Have you calculated the true cost of program delivery? Do you know what you should be doing more of, less of, or better? How do you decide when it's time to stop doing one program and start doing something else?
Be honest, do you know the answers to these questions, or are you guessing?
This workshop will present a systematic, objective approach for evaluating an organization's portfolio of programs/services. It will present a tool that provides insight into:
- the effectiveness and impact of a program/service;
- the marketplace in which the organization operates;
- determining the financial ramifications of program delivery; and
- revealing where mission impact and financial sustainability intersect.
The ability to make good choices about where you invest your resources--time, staff and dollars--is essential to the health and success of every nonprofit. This session will introduce participants to a meaningful assessment tool and show them how to use assessment results to guide data-informed decision-making to support budgeting, strategic planning, program development, and building the business case for starting new or eliminating existing programs.
