Why is it important for fundraising and marketing communications to align? When an organization’s marketers and fundraisers operate like a team and jointly articulate a clear and compelling case for support, the community hears a consistent, unified message that can bolster advocacy, fundraising and employee morale.
Jake Jacobson, National Media Relations Manager at Children’s Mercy Hospital, joins us to share the background story of Inside Pediatrics, a recently produced six-part documentary series featuring the real life stories of patients and families served by the hospital. While not developed as a fundraising appeal, the series tells an incredibly dramatic story that also serves to provide a strong case for supporting the good work of the hospital.
Allison (Ali) Abplanalp, Director of Philanthropic Community Engagement and Events at Children's Mercy also joins us to represent the fundraising side of the marketing/development partnership.
A program of the Marketing Matters series.
