Presenter:
Dan Prater is the Senior Managing Consultant at BKD CPAs and Advisors. Dan has an extensive background in nonprofit leadership and higher education. He was the founder and executive director of the Center for Nonprofit Leadership at Drury University (Springfield, MO). He co-created the university's popular Master of Nonprofit and Civic Leadership and continues to serve as an adjunct instructor in the program.
Dan provides consulting services to numerous nonprofits, NGOs and governmental organizations. He was the board chair of Nonprofit Missouri, a statewide organization that promotes the common interests of Missouri’s more than 55,000 nonprofit organizations. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops across the Midwest. In addition, he has been published more than 25 times on topics of the nonprofit industry and has authored multiple research projects.
