Parents! Register your middle school–aged daughters for Expanding Your Horizons 2026! Don’t miss this special Girls’ Night in Science City that’s loaded with FUN and packed with hands-on STEM workshops led by local female STEM professionals. We’ll also hear from inspiring keynote speaker Maggie McCracken, Technology Service Delivery Director at Quest Diagnostics.
This year, there are nineteen amazing workshops to choose from — everything from shark dissections and paleontology explorations to slime chemistry, crafting skills with a make-your-own stuffed animal, and even learning about the nervous system, including the chance to touch a real brain. Each participant will select their top five workshops and is guaranteed to experience at least two of their highest-ranked choices.
Expanding Your Horizons takes place in Science City on Friday, January 30, from 6-10pm.
Registration for the evening is just $10, with a strictly limited number of registrations available. A snack and water are included.
PLEASE NOTE: This event sells out each year, and early registration is highly encouraged to avoid disappointment. *This is a drop-off event. Parents are welcome to stay in the building but are required to stay out of the workshops while they're in progress (unless special arrangements are needed/made)*
Final deadline for registrations is January 16, subject to availability.
