Did you know that nonprofit organizations comprise over 11% of Kansas City's total workforce?
Nonprofit Connect recently commissioned a report to demonstrate the remarkable depth and significance of Kansas City nonprofits to the region's overall economy and quality of life. The report provides an overview of our community's nonprofit sector, including the number of organizations, the type of work they perform, and where they are located. The report also examines the financial impact of nonprofits in terms of employment, revenue, assets and expenses, and overall contribution to the economy.
Luann Feehan, President & CEO of Nonprofit Connect, and Dan Prater, Senior Managing Consultant of Nonprofit Excellence at BKD, will share important findings from the report. This information will help nonprofit management, business leaders, foundations and policymakers realize how influential nonprofits truly are in the Kansas City community.
The Kansas City Nonprofit Impact Report will be released in full on February 21, and all program attendees will receive a handout with significant findings.
