The William G. McGowan Charitable Fund has earmarked up to $1 million in grants focused on homelessness in the Kansas City area. The initiative, which is a 1-2 year effort strives to move families who are experiencing homelessness or living in extreme poverty to self-sufficiency through robust and holistic workforce development programming.

A nonprofit marketing course at the University of Kansas (Edwards Campus) will focus this summer on working with area nonprofit organizations to develop strategic communications plans. Interested nonprofits are encouraged to contact Alex Treaster, the course instructor.
