Marketing strategies are constantly evolving, and in the world of nonprofits, we are always trying to get our messaging out there about the important work that our organization does. The thought of adding new social media platforms or creating additional content can seem daunting, but there can be big benefits to adding these new media networks into your digital marketing strategies.
In this Let’s Connect Session, you’ll learn how KC Pet Project is using new forms of media like TikTok, Reels, and other social media strategies to expand their reach to more than 3 million followers, connect with younger generations, and even bring in donations for their organization. They’ll present tips, tricks, and strategies for creating effective content through storytelling that any nonprofit can use at their organization to bring in meaningful results.
Then, we’ll use breakout rooms to facilitate small group discussions. You will have the opportunity to brainstorm together, exchange ideas, and gain new insight from your nonprofit peers. This session is ideal for anyone who wants to expand your organization's reach and audience.
This is a program of the Let's Connect: Virtual Discussion Series.
Tori Fugate joined the KC Pet Project team in March 2012 – shortly after the organization took over the Kansas City, MO, animal shelter in January 2012. Tori’s role with KC Pet Project has enabled her to build the organization’s brand and promote its mission from inception to what it is today, and she enjoys the opportunity to promote KC Pet Project and its pets through social media and to national and international audiences.
Katie Grissum joined the KC Pet Project team in May of 2019 as their Communications and Design Coordinator. Katie helped launch KC Pet Project's rebrand and expanded new brand standards through graphic design, photography, video, and social media. She looks forward to continuing to build the organization's awareness in the community and promote the mission through new social media outlets like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
