Jim Klasinski is currently the Manager of Philanthropic Prospect Research at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He has been with Children's Mercy for 12 years and has 25 years of experience in the field of prospect research.

Jim began his fundraising career nearly 35 years ago at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, where his responsibilities included direct mail, grant writing, government advocacy and special events. He then decided to focus his career on the growing field of prospect research with positions at Rockhurst University and the PKD Foundation, both in Kansas City. With his natural curiosity and love for solving puzzles, Jim enjoys all aspects of prospect research, from helping to clean up a database to providing background for a visit with a new prospect!

Jim is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri with a BS degree in Public Relations. He also has an MA degree in Media Communications from Webster University. Jim is a member of APRA Missouri/Kansas and APRA International, the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement.

Full participation in this training is also applicable for 1 points in Category 1.B - Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
