This program is SOLD OUT. If you cannot attend please email info@npconnect.org so we can invite someone from the wait list.
Join YNPNkc and Operation Breakthrough for a real look at poverty in Kansas City. The tour begins and ends at Operation Breakthrough, and increases awareness about the hardships faced by the children that Operation Breakthrough serves by showing the neighborhoods where these children live. You will see places– just minutes from the Country Club Plaza – where families struggle for basic necessities. Along the way, you’ll meet courageous parents and community leaders who will share their personal experiences with you.
Although the bus is heated, guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather.
Please Note: The bus tour includes explicit testimony on such topics as domestic violence, substance abuse, and prostitution.
YNPNkc provides diverse opportunities for networking around Kansas City and partners with Nonprofit Connect to offer professional development programming. Learn more about YNPNkc here.
We welcome people of all ages and professions, although most of our members are in their 20s and 30s and working in the nonprofit sector.
