Assessing Your Nonprofit’s Capacity: A Lifecycles Approach
2020 stretched all of our organizations in new and different ways. Perhaps you had to quickly build your tech capacity to deliver services online. Perhaps you heard from your staff that they lacked capacity to manage one more transition. When we talk about organizational capacity, we’re not always all on the same page or speaking the same language.
Let Jennifer Bonnett, President & CEO of the Nonprofit Lifecycles Institute, help you develop a concise capacity definition so that you can get your plans out of your head and into shared plans that everyone on your team understands in the same way.
In this 1-hour session, Jennifer will share a proven and effective framework for assessing and increasing nonprofit capacity. In this session, you’ll:
- Define capacity for nonprofit organizations;
- Learn how to approach capacity in stages; and
- Gain insights into why capacity matters for the nonprofit sector and our overall capacity ecosystem.
Participants will leave this session with a clear framework for talking about their organizational capacity and tips as well as resources for sharing this framework with your staff, board, volunteers, and funders.
