Join the Benilde Hall Board of Directors
Benilde Hall is seeking passionate, community-minded leaders to join our Board of Directors as we continue to grow our impact across Kansas City.
We currently have one immediate opening and anticipate additional opportunities as part of our commitment to thoughtful board development and strong governance.
At Benilde Hall, our mission is to empower individuals to lead their lives confidently by fostering sustained recovery, stable housing, economic self-sufficiency, and improved mental and physical well-being. Each year, we serve hundreds of individuals navigating substance use, mental health challenges, and housing insecurity-helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and support.
About Our Board
Our board is active, engaged, and hands-on. Members serve as strategic partners, supporting organizational direction, strengthening community relationships, and helping ensure long-term sustainability.
Current Priority Areas
We are especially seeking individuals with experience in:

Human Resources or Organizational Development

Fundraising, philanthropy, or corporate partnerships

Marketing, communications, or brand strategy
What We’re Looking For

A passion for recovery, housing stability, and community impact

Willingness to actively engage and contribute

Strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset

Ability to leverage networks and advocate for Benilde Hall
Board Member Expectations

Serve a three-year term, with the option to serve up to two consecutive terms

Attend six board meetings per year and participate in at least one committee

Actively support fundraising and community engagement efforts

Make an annual, personally meaningful financial contribution in support of Benilde Hall’s mission
-
Serve as an ambassador for Benilde Hall in the community
