Food Market (Pantry) Volunteer

At the Serve & Lift Center at Catholic Charities of Kansas City – St. Joseph, families may choose their own food from available nutritious selections, and meet their own taste preferences, cultural dishes, and better manage chronic medical conditions that respond to a particular diet. Clients may receive food every 30 days, with proper identification verifying residence within our 27-county service area.



Shifts Available

Monday – Thursday – All shifts available each day of the week. Our offices are closed on Fridays.

7:30 am – 9:00 am

9:00 am – 12:30 pm

12:30 pm – 4:00 pm 



Select the day/shift that works best for your schedule. Groups are also welcome to volunteer.



Volunteer Roles

• Unload trucks


• Bag groceries


• Stock shelves


• Help clients shop


• Carry clients' food to their vehicles

Requirements

• Must be 14 years of age or older, unless supervised by a parent or guardian.
