Personal Shopper and Donation Intake Volunteer

Community Threads KC is looking for volunteers to help us provide dignity, confidence, and hope through FREE clothing assistance for local families in need.  Whether you can help organize donations, sort clothing, assist shoppers, support social media posts or special events - there's a place for you here. 
We offer our clients a boutique shopping experience where they feel seen, valued, and cared for- one garment at a time. 
Various volunteer activities available: 
Sorting Donations: Assisting donors with unloading their donations, sorting through clothing and hanging garments on racks in our boutique
Personal Shopper: Assist clients in finding clothing and accessories for themselves and their family members. This may also include providing them with information on other resources in the metro to support their other needs.  Training and education on these resources will be provided
Boutique Greeter: Greet clients and check them in for their shopping experience.  Support personal shoppers as needed in folding and bagging items.  Limited data entry tasks associated with this role.
Located in Olathe, Kansas. Our operating hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-4 pm and the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10-3 pm.
