Board of Trustees Opportunity

Elmwood is one of KC’s oldest cemeteries, in continuous operation since 1872.  While we do everything you’d expect of a cemetery, we are also positioning Elmwood as a vibrant park and arboretum, providing 43 acres of rolling green space to the Northeast KC neighborhoods surrounding Truman Road.  Our chapel is in demand for weddings, funerals and other special occasions.  And we are a uniquely qualified resource for historical and genealogical research for our great city.  Elmwood is managed and led by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees.  We need more like-minded members to join our Board to bolster our work as preservationists and gardeners, historians and archivists, fundraisers and accountants, attorneys and property managers.  Join us and help shape the next era at Elmwood!
