Retail Assistant
Helping Kansas City's Urban Agriculture
Retail Assistants serve customers at KCCG's Swope Park headquarters. Duties include welcoming visitors when they arrive at KCCG, cashiering, signing people up for memberships, answering the phone, connecting people with KCCG's different programs and resources, restocking, cleaning, and carrying out other opening and closing protocols for the retail space.
This is a temporary position during KCCG's busy plant sale season. Shifts can be 4-8 hours long on Wednesdays and/or Fridays. Please submit your resume and cover letter to melinda@kccg.org. Eligible recipients will be scheduled for an interview.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Enroll Individuals & Family Gardens program members
- Ring up plant, seed, and supply purchases
- Restock seeds and supply purchases
- Restock seeds, supplies, and educational literature
- Perform opening and closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, and filling/emptying cash drawers
Additional Organizational Duties
- Assist with seed packaging
- Stock and organize outdoor plant sale area
- Other duties as assigned
