Board Member

Come help with governance, compliance and resourcing for the ONLY organization working to build and operate a 21st century no-kill pet animal shelter to serve all Leavenworth County (KS) residents.  Prefer someone who lives in Leavenworth County.  We have space on our Board for up to 15 members, and are especially hoping to attract someone with law enforcement, animal control, veterinary, legal, grant writing, government experience.  One meeting per month with additional frequent contact via email between board members and with the Executive Director.  Our organization holds a Platinum rating on GuideStar/Candid, and reports pet statistics monthly to Shelter Animals Count and to the Shelter Pet Data Alliance.  Annual budget approximately $350K.
