Volunteer Peace Pavilion Docents

Offer Valid: 02/08/2024 - 04/30/2024
The Peace Pavilion is an interactive museum in Independence, MO focused on peace building techniques for children and youth. The lessons are focused on the peacemaking themes of Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, and Peace for the Planet.

The Peace Pavilion touches the lives of over 3,000 visitors each year. Many of our visitors come in groups larger than 10 people but many visit as individuals and families. Volunteers are critical to the operation of the Pavilion, serving as docents in the exhibit areas or helping with the building and events coverage.

Volunteers with flexible schedules are needed Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Average shifts are three hours for each time scheduled.

All training is provided to prepare volunteers to serve. Volunteers are screened and provided training on child protection policies. Apply for a Volunteer Staff position, contact us by phone at 816-912-1275 or email thepeacepavilion@gmail.com.
