The job of Blue Valley Educational Foundation Program and Development Manager is done for the purpose/s of creating and supporting Foundation programs, implementing annual campaigns, managing donor records, acknowledgements, recognition, and database management; participating with various committees; planning and supporting various events; and serving as a representative of the Foundation in raising District and community awareness of the Foundation's activities and goals.
Essential Functions
Acquires a high knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT for the purpose of managing the effectiveness of database tools and services and documenting fundraising success.
Manages donor database for the purpose of ensuring accurate records and reports, communication, timely gift acknowledgement, campaign and solicitation queries for campaign segmentation, and monthly reconciliation of Raiser's Edge NXT with general ledger.
Manages annual parent/membership campaign to include development of timeline, collateral, incentives, donor acknowledgements, donor fulfillment, recognition, reporting and evaluation for the purpose of raising dollars and meeting strategic goals.
Manages event underwriting pipelines for Foundation signature events for the purpose of ensuring accuracy, providing regular updates and identifying new individual and corporate prospects.
Manages the creation and distribution of solicitation/sponsorship packets for all Foundation signature events (e.g. Community Breakfast, Battle of the Bands, and Women's Giving Circle)
Manages annual staff payroll campaign to include development of solicitation timeline, collateral, incentives, donor acknowledgements, reporting and evaluation for the purpose of raising dollars and meeting strategic goals.
Oversees the management of confidential, computerized records of financial and in-kind donors, their giving histories, and other personal information for the purpose of ensuring gift agreements and vital communication are added to donor records.
Provides event support to include the design of invitations, save the dates, slide decks, sponsorship collateral for the purpose of marketing ticket and sponsorship opportunities.
Provides support to the Foundation team in the development and coordination of annual donor and volunteer recognition plan for the purpose of stewarding constituents supporting Foundation programs, events, scholarships, and grants.
Provides staff support for school district recruitment and retention programs supported by the Foundation for the purpose of coordinating events, planning, communication and promotional materials, ensuring strategic goals are met.
Serves as staff liaison for mental health and wellness programs supported by the Foundation for the purpose of coordinating event registrations, communication plans, financial information, material development, event promotion, and evaluation.
Other Functions
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: customer service; applying assessment
instruments; operating standard office equipment; planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; strong writing and motivational skills; and digital proficiency utilizing PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Blackbaud programs, specifically Raiser's Edge.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: business telephone etiquette; concepts of grammar and punctuation; and safety practices and procedures.

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking, 20% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required in a comparable goal- oriented environment.
Education: Bachelors degree in job-related area.
