As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for a Development Director who wants to play a central role in expanding that impact.

About the Role
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role for a builder, connector, and doer.
As Development Director, you’ll lead efforts to grow revenue, expand community partnerships, and build a sustainable fundraising engine from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors, gaining direct exposure to nonprofit leadership while owning key strategic initiatives.

What You’ll Do
Build & Grow Fundraising Strategy
  • Develop and execute a multi-channel fundraising strategy
  • Expand individual giving, corporate partnerships, and major gifts
  • Identify and engage new donors through proactive outreach
Lead Major Gifts & Partnerships
  • Launch and grow a major gifts program
  • Build relationships with local businesses and community leaders
  • Represent Mimi’s Pantry as an ambassador in the community
 
Drive Campaigns & Events
  • Lead sponsorship strategy for the annual fundraising event
  • Create campaigns that inspire giving across digital and in-person channels
Strengthen Communication & Engagement
  • Craft compelling messaging that clearly communicates impact
  • Improve donor retention through thoughtful stewardship
  • Leverage social and digital platforms to expand reach
Manage Data & Performance
  • Track results and refine strategy based on performance
  • Maintain donor records (DonorPerfect® or similar CRM)
  • Manage development budget responsibly

Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent transferable experience)
  • Proven ability to build relationships and generate revenue or commitments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred
  • Grant writing or external funding experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range $80-$100k (based upon experience)
