Annual Starting Salary: $46,762 - $52,654

 

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is seeking a Specialist, Development Operations to support our fundraising efforts by ensuring high-quality data management and reporting. If you're detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about the mission of nonprofit organizations, this is a great opportunity to play a behind-the-scenes role in donor engagement and museum sustainability.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of the Development team, you’ll help maintain the integrity of our donor database (Tessitura), process contributions, and support fundraising strategies through data reporting, analytics, and prospect research.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Enter, update, and manage donor and gift data in the CRM with accuracy and timeliness

  • Perform regular audits and quality checks on donor records

  • Create mailing lists, reports, and dashboards to support fundraising efforts

  • Collaborate with the Stewardship team to enhance donor recognition and communication

  • Support prospect research using tools like Kindsight

  • Participate in testing, reporting, and refining database processes


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in a nonprofit or donor-centric environment

  • Proficiency with donor databases (Tessitura strongly preferred), Excel, and data analytics

  • Experience handling financial transactions or receipts

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment

  • Collaborative, service-oriented approach with excellent communication skills
