Executive Director

Hope Haven is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of operations, programs, and strategic initiatives, while ensuring financial sustainability, organizational integrity, and a positive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate is an inspiring leader with a passion for community engagement, a strong background in nonprofit management, and a proven track record in fundraising, financial stewardship, and program development.
Financial Leadership
Prepare and present the annual operating budget for Board review and approval.
Secure diverse funding sources, including federal, state, and private grants.
Maintain sound financial policies and ensure organizational sustainability.
Oversee financial reporting, audits, and compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Strengthen and diversify funding streams to ensure long-term financial stability.
Personnel & Organizational Management
Direct and oversee all programs, staff, and organizational operations.
Recruit, hire, supervise, evaluate, and develop staff and volunteers.
Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
Conduct performance evaluations and professional development planning.
Ensure compliance with all employment laws and internal policies.
Operations, Outreach & Community Relations
Ensure confidentiality and safety for all clients and stakeholders.
Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and donors.
Represent the organization at local, regional, and state meetings and events.
Lead public relations, marketing, and communication strategies to promote the mission.
Provide regular reports to the Board and collaborate on strategic planning
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, social work, or related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit management or similar leadership roles.
Proven success in fundraising, grant writing, and financial management.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
