Senior Marketing Manager, Brand Activation

Working closely with the NAIA’s outside marketing agency and the NAIA’s internal marketing department structure, this role is responsible for the execution of the NAIA’s brand advocacy campaign efforts (social media, email, public relations), including membership and student-athlete campaign engagement efforts.
 
This position will be instrumental in engaging member institutions, student-athletes, and conferences to create a consistent groundswell of storytelling and social media content that amplifies the NAIA’s brand among key stakeholder audiences. This role will work with NAIA membership to ensure consistent and compelling brand advocacy messaging representation across various communication channels and digital media formats and work across NAIA departments to ensure alignment and consistency in brand advocacy efforts.
 
This position will support various marketing department efforts and initiatives, as directed. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Brand Activation (working with the NAIA’s outside marketing agency)
  • Implement strategies to activate the NAIA brand on campuses, within conferences, and in communities.
  • Produce branded messaging, content, and resources, including digital and print materials, toolkits, and guides for member institutions and student-athletes to support the brand advocacy campaigns.
  • Facilitate user-generated-content campaigns to build a library of member and student-athlete created content via a third-party digital platform.
Advocacy Building
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at member institutions, including athletic directors, coaches, sports information directors, marketing teams, and student-athlete leaders, to foster a network of NAIA advocates.
  • Working with the NAIA’s outside marketing agency, create presentations, training programs, webinars, and workshops, to empower member schools to effectively communicate the NAIA brand.
  • Act as a brand ambassador at key association events and conference meetings to promote the NAIA brand advocacy initiative. 
Marketing Content Development and Execution
  • Working with the NAIA’s outside marketing agency, create and execute website content, email campaigns, digital advertising, and social media campaigns to support brand advocacy efforts.
  • Create and execute requested marketing efforts to support marketing department projects and initiatives.
  • Working with marketing leadership, monitor and provide monthly and quarterly reports on campaign performance, leveraging insights to optimize future efforts.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications. 
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in brand activation and marketing, preferably within sports or higher education. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating content and execution of digital campaigns (social media, webs, email campaigns, and video assets) that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and public speaking.
