Join our team and help create bright futures for students and educators! The NKC Schools Education Foundation is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Program Coordinator to lead key initiatives that support student success, strategic partnerships, and community engagement.
The Program Coordinator will manage signature programs and grants, coordinate scholarships, support communications, and foster relationships with students, staff, donors, and community members. This role is essential to advancing our mission and amplifying our impact.
Administer the full lifecycle of scholarships via AwardSpring, including application processing, committee coordination, and award distribution.
Serve as liaison to scholarship funders, counselors, families, and committees.
Lead communications efforts, including storytelling, data analysis, and social media content.
Coordinate student and school engagement for the Normandy Academy.
Oversee Student Success Fund and Impact Grant cycles in collaboration with district leaders.
Manage the Kahler Innovation Grant process and support grantee communication.
Support donor stewardship and grant opportunities in partnership with the Director.
Serve as staff liaison to program-focused Advisory Board committees.
Participate as part of the team in event planning and execution, including Foundation-led special events and recognition programs.
Fulfill other duties as assigned to support the Foundation’s strategic priorities.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
2–4 years of relevant professional experience (nonprofit, education, or community engagement)
Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
Comfort with digital platforms (e.g., AwardSpring or similar), data tools, and social media
Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and working with diverse audiences
Preferred:
Experience with school district foundations or education-focused nonprofits
Familiarity with project or program management, donor relations, or committee leadership
Reports to: Director, NKC Schools Education Foundation
Work Environment: Office setting with occasional travel across district sites
Schedule: Full-time with occasional evening/weekend hours during peak events
Benefits: Competitive salary up to $65,000 based on experience and benefits package available through NKC Schools
Retirement: PEERS (Public Education Employee Retirement System)
Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Check required
