Digital Resource Coordinator
Full Time | Salary/Exempt | Salary: $45,000–$48,000, depending on experience
Reports to Digital Inclusion Program Manager
KC Digital Drive is a regional nonprofit that helps Kansas City understand, prepare for, and respond to technological change in ways that expand opportunity and improve quality of life. We work across sectors and communities throughout the bi-state region to identify emerging needs and opportunities, bring together the people and resources needed to respond, and turn ideas into practical solutions.
About the Role
The Digital Resource Coordinator helps residents and community partners navigate the technology increasingly required for work, education, healthcare, services, and everyday life. The role combines one-on-one digital navigation, education, service coordination, community outreach, partner relationships, and program support.
The Coordinator will support KCDD's broader Digital Life Exchange while also spending significant time working with Phoenix Family and its Coalition for Economic Opportunity (CEO) initiative. As that work grows, the Coordinator will become a familiar, trusted resource for residents in Phoenix Family-supported housing communities, helping people address digital barriers and connecting them to KCDD expertise and other community resources.
What You'll Do
- Provide one-on-one digital navigation, education, enrollment assistance, and follow-up related to devices, affordable connectivity, digital skills, online services, workplace technology, and technical support.
- Maintain regular hours in Phoenix Family-supported housing communities and build trusted relationships with residents and partner staff.
- Connect participants to KCDD programs, Digital Life Exchange members, training providers, and other community resources.
- Develop and deliver accessible workshops, small-group learning opportunities, resource guides, and outreach materials.
- Coordinate with KCDD staff, Phoenix Family, CEO partners, and other service providers to address participant needs and strengthen referral pathways.
- Track services, referrals, outcomes, and participant feedback to support reporting and improve programs.
- Complete training in the CEO model, including trauma-informed care and EMPath Mobility Mentoring®, and participate as an active member of the KCDD team.
You May Be a Fit If You
You enjoy helping people solve practical technology problems and can do so with patience and respect. You build trust easily, are comfortable moving between one-on-one support and partner coordination, and know when to solve a problem, teach someone how to solve it, or make a strong referral. You're organized and dependable, but stay focused on the person rather than just the process.
We're looking for someone with three or more years of relevant experience in areas such as community services, digital navigation, adult education, workforce development, outreach, or case coordination. A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Experience working with families pursuing employment and economic mobility goals is especially valuable.
This position requires reliable transportation and regular travel throughout the Kansas City area. Some scheduling flexibility may be needed for community events and to meet residents during accessible hours.
