Rose Brooks Center, a non-profit domestic violence agency, is currently hiring for a full-time Director of Residential Services. This position provides leadership to all shelter staff and direct supervision and development of Shelter Managers, Kitchen Manager, Pet Advocacy Manager, Children’s Case Manager, and Child & Family Support Specialist in the provision of services for the residential program. Ensure hotline, advocacy, case management, economic empowerment, and shelter activities are consistent with Rose Brooks Center’s shelter model of operations, principles of trauma-informed care, accessibility, quality assurance indicators, and targets for outcomes and productivity. Oversee care coordination of services for shelter residents including direct services, safety protocols and responses, and crisis intervention.
The Director of Residential Services will partner with the Development Team and agency leadership on grant proposals, grant administration, and grant reporting. This position works collaboratively with other internal staff, leaders, and community partners in the provision of residential services for the residential program.

- Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with agency policies and procedures, while demonstrating proficiency in all RBC competencies and utilizing the principles of trauma informed care, and accessibility; demonstrates a commitment to the overall mission of Rose Brooks Center.
- Attend scheduled staff, team and supervision meetings.
- Participate in all required trainings.
Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling or related field, or commensurate combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in supervision and management with ability to develop and coach direct reports and others.
- Program development/management experience and/or project management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of best practices and domestic violence dynamics.
- Understanding of trauma and its impact
- Demonstrated ability to lead through others and build a high performing team
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others
- Strong computer skills.
- Proven organizational, time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; communicates a compelling and inspired vision and sense of core purpose
- Strong quality assurance and customer focus
- Excellent creative problem-solving, conflict resolution and mediation and the demonstrated ability to effectively manage change
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to provide proof of automobile insurance
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
- Master’s Degree in a social science or related field
- Minimum one year experience in residential or domestic violence shelter
- Experience with effectively handling of hotline calls and crisis intervention preferred
- English/Spanish Bi-lingual
Hours: This position is a full-time, exempt position and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. This may include some evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.
Compensation: This position falls into a salary range starting at 70,000 annually (exempt).
