The Hearing Aid Project, a program of Sertoma International, is seeking a part-time program coordinator to work directly with clients and hearing health partners (clinics, universities, hospitals, private practice providers, etc.) to facilitate the timely fitting of hearing aids.
HAP Program Coordinator's general responsibilities include…
- Recruit audiologists and hearing instrument specialists to be HAP partners
- Regular communication with clients seeking support
- Respond to email and phone inquiries from hearing health providers and HAP clients
- Assist at local events where HAP is collecting hearing aids and/or providing hearing screenings
- Communicate with HAP volunteers
- Information management and data input
- General promotion of programs and services to Sertomans and non-Sertomans
- Some local travel may be required
Required skills, education & background:
- Comfortable interacting in-person, on the phone, and via technology with a variety of constituents, including members, club leadership, program partners, funders, etc.
- Database familiarity
- Microsoft Office Programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Online research abilities
- Customer service
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with hearing health, more specifically assistive hearing devices, is helpful, but not required
The HAP Program Coordinator works as part of a small team of individuals in Kansas City, MO. We are looking for a part-time program coordinator to work directly with hearing health providers and clients, facilitating the timely provision of services, specifically fitting clients with hearing aids. The individual hired for this position needs to be someone who has a passion for helping individuals secure much-needed services to improve their quality of life. You must be comfortable working with new and existing partners to provide those services. A background in human services, nonprofit management, or hearing health would be helpful, but is not required.
There is no typical day with the Hearing Aid Project or Sertoma International. On any given day, you will communicate with clients, connect with national partners, identify resources, or even sort hearing aid donations. Ultimately, you will be responsible for helping people in need have a better quality of life.

Working for Sertoma International
The salary range for this position is $20-25/hr, with an initial expectation of 10-15 hours per week (with room for growth if desired). No benefits are provided; however, we have a flexible work environment in terms of hours and location (the office is located in Kansas City, MO). Some hours may be worked in the evening or on the weekends, but most will need to be filled during the week (Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm)
